Okay! So my wonderous other half is being amazing as per usual, and buying me felt supplies for the following things! :D
-Enough black felt to make wool-falls.
-Maybe some foam to work on a few ideas I have.
-Hot glue gun for hair funzies with felt.
-More felt.
-And some felt.
I can't wait till Wednesday!!! :D

A NEW IDEA!

So last night Tyson and I had a friend over, and she's all kinda of awesome. I wanted to make her something out of felt, cause lets face it, I do that.
I ended up making her a pink fairy floss heart with white spots! It turned out pretty cute, I must say so myself! :3
So afterwards we were talking about my felting, and came to a very good idea. Why don't I mount some of my creations onto headbands and hair clips? DURR! I feel so stupid for not thinking of it earlier!! So I'm thinking of mosying my way down to the shops soon, and picking up a hot glue gun! Be ready to see more cute things on hair clips :P
I also got around to ACTUALLY making something new! Our lovely TARDIS is now the proud owner of a dark purple top hat! It's looking rather suave <3

A Night of Trivia and Craft.

SO!
Tonight I went out to trivia with our trivia team, The Sex Bob-Ombs! (look us up on Facebook, we have our own page!)
I haven't been out in a while, but I took some great photos tonight of our crew, and we came in 5th, which is a feat for us!
So the night was great, I took about 6 matchbooks, because lets face it, you're a million times classier when you light your smoke with a match. I had amazing cider and made small felt hearts for my friends (I have a photo of one below!) and ate too many potato wedges!! The serving was so huge D: I wasn't able to finish it!
There was many laughs, and many songs to be sung.
All in all, it was lovely (:

Entry Two: Electric Boogaloo The Tutorial.

Hello faithful bloggers, and welcome to blog two!
In this blog, I'll be showing the process of how I make an egg :3
1. Get the colour felt you want! I've picked pink because I haven't made a pink egg yet!
2. After picking the amount of felt you need, tuck it in from the outside, into the middle to form a ball shape.
3. STAB AWAY! Using your felting needle, stab until it is firm enough to hold a circle shape.
4. So now you just stab till it is firm to the touch. This is all up to your personaly preference.
5. Now comes the actualy egg part. Rip of a peice of felt that is roughly half the siz of your egg, or just use my photo as a guide.
6. Roll it between your hands to make a rough sphere. Then using your needle, stab it a few times till it attaches.
7. Now comes the shaping! Again, using your needle, shape the felt by stabbing it into the shape we want it to be.
8. As you do that, also use your fingers to pinch and roll it into shape.
9. Keep stabbing it you're happy with the shape and firmness!
10. Decorate as you wish, I'm going to do a swirl, but I'll put that in a different tutorial (:

Felting from the Heart.

Welcome to my wonderous blog of wounderous felt.
I decided to start this blog for two reasons.
1. I want to meet other felt-craft fiends and make friends in the craft.
2. I want somewhere to showcase not only my crafts, but the process, both physical and mental, that I go through when I make something!
So I guess I'll write a little about myself..
Well, I am a short 19 year old girl living in big, ol' Melbourne. My days are spent with a needle in one hand, and felt in the other.
I live with my wonderous boyfriend of 9 months, Tyson. This is us being lame.
I also live with our awesome housemate Nic. He's a bit weird, but we love him :3
So anyway, I've been making cute felt eggs lately, and the smallest is about 1" tall, and the tallest is about 2". I'm working on making them bigger and cuter and awesome!
I'm working on making tiny felted people, but I will leave that for my next blog :3
